The Community Recovery Center is a non-profit organization located in Post, Texas. Post is located three miles below the caprock; 40 miles Southeast of Lubbock on Highway 84. The city of Post, Texas was founded by cereal magnate C.W. Post in 1907. One of Mr. Post's motto's was "helping men help themselves" and in 1982 the Community Recovery Center was established to "help people help themselves."

The Community Recovery Center holds to the belief that all individuals touched by issues of substance abuse, chemical dependency and other life issues can be restored to becoming viable assets to their community and it is the mission of the Community Recovery Center to assist those individuals in meeting their needs and to instill in them a sense of hope and belief in themselves.
